Meet the Author
Jordan Yuska is a writer, postpartum psychosis survivor, and maternal mental health advocate whose work explores motherhood, mental illness, resilience, and the urgent need for compassionate maternal healthcare.
Still His Mother
A forthcoming literary memoir
She lost her mind. She never stopped being his mother.
After two years of fertility struggles, Jordan finally became a mother—and three days later, developed postpartum psychosis. Separated from her newborn son for thirty days while hospitalized, one question remained constant:
Is my baby okay?
Still His Mother follows three descents into psychiatric crisis—and three hard-won returns—through locked wards, a marriage tested and strengthened, and a mother determined to find her way back. Not to the woman she had been. To her son.
At its heart, this is a memoir about motherhood, identity, and the bond between a mother and child that endures even when reality itself begins to fracture.
It is also a call to better recognize postpartum psychosis and to rethink a healthcare system that too often separates mothers from their newborns at the moment they need each other most.
Currently seeking literary representation.
